HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE APPEARANCE OF YOUR BLOG?:
If you go to your blog’s “dashboard” you will see in the left hand column a set of options. One is “appearance.” Click on it and you will be shown a set of alternative designs – indeed, five pages of them. You can select the one you like and, once you are satisfied with it, make it your active design. Note, that some designs have limited functionality – e.g., no tags or RSS feed.

HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE IMAGE ON YOUR BLOG?
Click on Image and Choose the Custom Image option either in the pull down or near the top of the Appearance page. You can then, by playing around with the settings a bit, size and select your own image to replace any already on the page.

HOW DO I CREATE AN IMAGE OF THE CORRECT SIZE?
Once you select the Custom Image option you will be shown the required image size. Using screen capture software (such as Jing, to be discussed in my next posting), create an image of the appropriate size and save it as a file. Back in the Custom Image page you can then select that file to replace whatever image was previously there.
