HOW DO I GET IMAGES OFF THE WEB TO ADD TO A PRESENTATION OR DECORATE MY BLOG?

One thing that can really make a presentation more exciting is to include an image. There is a nice free image capture program, called Jing, that runs on both Wintel and Mac platforms. Google “Jing” to find it or go directly to http://www.jingproject.com

One consideration in using screen capture softare, however, is intellectual property. For presentations, to protect yourself include somewhere on the page a small copy of the URL you got the image from. For commercial use, however, you need to ensure you are not violating someone’s IP (intellectual properly).

BTW, Jing is free and carries no adverts. Puzzle: what’s their business model.

Hint: If you want to explore other screen capture alternatives, click on the “Screen Capture” tag that appears in the header of this posting.
